Bola Bubbles weiss-hellblau
The Mexican bola or pregnancy chime is a pretty and original necklace for pregnant women. Inside the bola, a tiny sort of xylophone is welded, on which a little ball rolls around. From approximately twenty weeks into pregnancy, a baby can hear and recognise sounds in the womb. By wearing the ball regularly, low on the belly, the baby will grow familiar with the chiming sound of the bell. The baby will experience the special sound as soothing, both before and after birth.
The rattle has a very long history and it appears in almost any culture. It is therefore an authentic and universal object.
It is quite remarkable that in almost all cultures, rattles originally had a different function and only became toys later on. For instance, a rattle had to protect the baby from possible misfortune.
The rattles featured here are made in silver plated alpaca, their sound is very pure and clear.
